SILENT WAFER CHECK VALVE

The cast iron body, center-guided silent check valves use a fully automatic spring assisted discs to eliminate water hammer while preventing flow reversal in the piping.  The spring closure acts faster than swing check valves, which can slam shut with the flow reversal. The wafer style body design is compact and versatile, and fits inside of the bolting in a flanged connection.  (The globe style is not as compact, as it utilizes flanges and a wider body, but has an incremental pressure drop improvement.)

Standard discs for the VCSIL-IW from Stayflow are nickel plated iron (shown below and in submittal sheet) and also stainless steel.  Bronze is also available, with buna rubber disc seals if needed.  For 2" to 10" diameters, the 125# wafer design allows for mating to either 125# or 250# flanges.  For 8" and 10" diameters, a 250# wafer design is also avaiable for mating to 250# flanges. Also available with grooved end adapters. For liquids only.
